LEARN TO ROCK CLIMB IN NEW ENGLAND

Come join us at Zoar Outdoor’s Rock Climbing School for expert technical instruction and classes in New England. Learn to rock climb from our friendly professional climbing instructors and gain confidence as you progress from a beginner to an experienced climber. Our location, within a short drive of several excellent climbing areas in Massachusetts, assures lots of time on the rock.

Our rock climbing class progression, from Novice I Clinic to Novice II Climbing Day to our Intermediate Rock Climbing Clinic, is designed to help students learn to rock climb competently on their own. Our low group size (from 2 to 12) and low student-to-instructor ratio of 6-to-1 provides maximum learning and enjoyment for all students. Our rock climbing instructors are experienced climbers with a desire to pass their knowledge on to their students.

Challenge and an emphasis on safety characterize our approach to the exciting lifetime sport of rock climbing. Our programs emphasize top-rope climbing where the rope is anchored by the instructor at the top of each climb. Students learn to climb and belay (protect each other with the rope) as well as to move smoothly and with minimal effort on the rock.

To best meet the needs of our students, both young and old, the minimum age on all of our adult clinics is fourteen. Our Kids Climbing Craze is designed for 10 to 15 year-olds and our Parent/Child clinic is for children between 10 and 16 accompanied by one or both parents.  It’s a great way for families to spend time together while learning a new sport.
